kam's baby pumpkin

kam got this sweet little pumpkin from her school party and was instantly in love with it. she brought it up to her room so it could "be with her" and carried it outside when it was time to carve pumpkins "so the baby can watch its family!" then, the baby pumpkin took a spill and got a dent . . . she was devastated. she literally cried for 5 minutes and gave the pumpkin kisses . . .

b's first soda

ummmmm... b was in heaven with his first soda. i mean, he didn't put it down . . . and then i caught him drinking out of the girls' sodas! noticed he has it all down the front of him . . . he couldn't get it out fast enough . . . we are in trouble!

hanging with daddy

b, kam, and bailey headed downtown while the girls partied . . . what a treat to be in their costumes and hanging out with daddy. they looked adorable and were a big hit with the big kids before they left . . . frankenstein was trying to scare the girls! it was cute! the little kids had a great time showing off their costumes and getting candy . . . and then came home for more fun!

halloween sleepover

this may be our new halloween tradition! the girls had been asking for a halloween party . . . i kept putting it off because they wanted to invite a few too many people . . . so, rather last minute, we decided a halloween sleepover with a few friends! the girls ALL got along, had a great time, and even got a little sleep! we ate jack-o-lantern pizza, had color changing drinks (some of the girls really thought it was magic!), decorated cookies and cupcakes, played hide and seek, made masks, painted pumpkins and fingernails . . . and then had pumpkin face pancakes in the morning! what a fun party it was!

a little good witch

ooooh. kam was cute enough to pinch today at her halloween parade. she loved being a witch . . . and did so well waving while they paraded around the parents . . . she even sang this year . . . 5 little pumpkins! so adorable. now we are really excited for the big day!

mck"s first book report

mck finished her first book report on a chapter book she read with her reading group . . . a book report sandwich! so cute. she had lots of fun making it . . . and was so proud to be finished a few days early (only because i made her!). it is so awesome to see her falling in love with books!

glowin' in the bath

omg. this was the coolest idea ever. (i love pinterest!) i surprised the kids with a glow stick bath . . . filled up the tub, added bubbles, and lots of glow sticks, then turned out the lights! it was the coolest bath ever. they had so much fun playing they didn't want to get out! can't wait to do it again!

cheer performance 2011

what a positive, fun, amazing day for the girls! we got an early start to head to meet their teammates for the big show. they warmed up, practiced, and danced their hearts out in the stands. the girls weren't judged (they are too young) but still got to perform in front of a big crowd . . . they did so well and had so much fun! all the teams were so supportive of each other . . . it is really cool to watch . . . and i think it gave them the cheer leading bug. we are in trouble!

picking pumpkins

the kids had a blast picking pumpkins from the local church . . . also kam and b's school! :) they each spent lots of time picking just the right one . . . ken picked the biggest with weird orange and greenish veins, mck picked a large simple orange one, kam picked the smallest one, and b picked a warty one! in the past we have each gotten a pumpkin to carve . . . this year we got smarter and bailey and i chose not to get one . . . carving for HOURS just isn't appealing . . . so with our four pumpkins in tow, we headed home to display them in the front yard!

she's got spirit too!

mck won the little spirit award at today's game! for a quiet kid . . . she has become quite the little cheerleader. i don't think she wanted to put the stick down! she was so proud of herself! go mckenzie!

the cards have been ordered!

omg. it is october 14 and the christmas cards have been ordered! :) that's a first! :) it helps that we had pictures taken in july that i was planning to use! :) yay for that! :) now i just have to manage to get them addressed . . . surely i can manage to do that in a month!

kam wrote her name!

this was in the bottom corner of some art kam brought home. i freaked out. before starting pre-school she had NO interest in learning to write her name . . . now, she is SO excited to write her letters and learn to spell her name. there is something so magical about this time. she is getting a kick out of spelling everyone's name in the family too. yay! might have taken her a little while, but she likes to do everything on her own terms, in her own time.

a little pumpkin patch

kam found these little pumpkins so she and b decided to make their own pumpkin patch. too cute. i had to make several trips to the pumpkin patch and make my selection . . . and they they would steal it back since they didn't have too many. they played this for 45 minutes. doesn't take much to entertain these kids!

crafts and pjs!

no school for columbus day meant a pj day for the bailey kids (still recovering from two nights of roughing it!) the kids got along so well all day just playing and making crafts. wish all days could be like this!

roughing it!

we took our first camping trip with all four kiddos. roughing it . . . two nights, tent, peeing in the woods, no showers for a couple days . . . roughing it! the kids were really in heaven. they loved fishing, exploring, eating junk, eating outside, looking at the trees, exploring, climbing on fallen trees, taking walks, eating s'mores, and of course, peeing in the woods! :) the kids were so dirty by the time we left . . . so dirty, but so happy. they are already talking about heading back there again.

aunt sarah drove from nac to see the girls and have lunch with them at school. it's become an annual tradition. they were so excited to see their cool, young aunt stroll into school! thanks aunt sarah!

pj day for b

b was so excited to sport his new pjs at school today. he can't quite say "guitar" but kept saying his version of the word over and over . . . he thought he was one cool dude. and wearing pj's was for a good cause . . . b and kam donated pjs to kids who need them. it was awesome to see them so excited to be giving to someone else. they really thought it was fun.

it's pj day!

ooooh. nothing like heading to school in your pajamas! kam was so excited to show off her latest favorite (well, her new favorite after i told her that her fleece footies wouldn't work for a 90 degree day at school!) pink unicorn nightgown! she had a great time and even snoozed a bit!

wow. trying to get 6 kids to smile all at the same time is tough! :) think we got some cute shots of the kids . . . being kids! the bailey bunch sure do love cousins s and a. can't wait for more get-togethers!

g'town airfest 2011

it was plane heaven at the local airfield. the kids had so much fun checking out the little planes & helicopters. it was hot . . .the girls got a little miserable, but b was in it for the long haul! checking everything out from the stroller until he got close enough to touch or climb in things! grammy and sarah were here to spend the weekend and came with us!
